About

I am a mom, wife, elementary teacher, and lifestyle enthusiast with a passion for helping others grow. When I am not writing, I am likely with my family, teaching, or doing something crafty.

Dear Rosita is a space born from strength and struggle. I share honest stories, support, and resources for those in various facets of life.

This is also a space to reclaim joy and begin talks of lifestyle routines like mental health, wellness routines, nutrition, and self-care. Because even when life feels uncertain, we deserve comfort and connection.

Rosa is a family name.

All my life, I have always loved my mother’s name, her perfectly coiled hair, brown skin, and fearlessness. Growing up, I never felt like my own name matched me. A missing part of my identity was lost in my name.

In Spanish, when you add “ita” or “ito” to the end of a name, it is a term of endearment for someone younger than you. From years of struggling with repeated losses, I dreamed of my little girl. I knew that I wanted the name, Rosita, for my little girl. She is my little rose, my survivor, and my everything. Dear Rosita is for my daughter.
